The Loss and Regeneration series was created from objects representing a significant loss in people's lives. The deconstruction and incorporation of painful symbols into this body of work, have allowed these individuals to let go of their suffering and move forward. Recovering these things, recycling and reusing them, allowed me to uncover personal pasts.
The fragmentation, metamorphosis and immortalization of this detritus was one way to reconfigure the commonplace, reuse the unusable, as well as honor the stuff of everyday lives.
